Join us for an unforgettable evening of swing and jazz as the award-winning Music City Big Band takes the stage at Centennial Park's beloved summer Big Band Dance Series! This free, family-friendly event promises an evening of world-class music and dancing under the Nashville stars.

The community is invited to dance and listen to over a dozen local swing and jazz Big Bands from June 7th to August 9th, at a new location this year at the Centennial Park Bandshell (on the east side of the Park, near 25th Avenue North). Music City Big Band, an 18-piece big band featuring Nashville's finest jazz musicians About | Music City Big Band and winner of the 2018 Nashville Independent Music Award for Best Jazz Group, will deliver an exciting mix of classic big band favorites and contemporary jazz arrangements.

Schedule:

• 6:30 PM: Free dance lessons provided by Dynamic Ballroom and Performing Arts. Dance styles covered include Rhumba, Cha-Cha, Swing, Waltz, Foxtrot, and Two-Step
• 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM: Live performance by Music City Big Band

Led by musical director and trumpeter Casey Brefka, this diverse ensemble of world-class musicians brings both the timeless sophistication of the big band era and the fresh energy of contemporary jazz to Nashville's most iconic park setting. Whether you're an experienced dancer or prefer to listen and enjoy, this multi-generational summer series hosts dancers and spectators enjoying swing & jazz favorites in the beautiful outdoor atmosphere of Centennial Park.

Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of exceptional live music! Food trucks will be available, and admission is completely free. Located at the Centennial Park Bandshell, east side of the park near 25th Avenue North.
